“Oma” a word for grandmother in Dutch.
From Holland, Irvine Ruhé dedicated her life to her children, her grandchildren, and countless others.
She was known to hold her hand over her heart and say: “Children are in my heart.”
“Oma”, Irvine Ruhé, instilled several very important life-lessons in her family: to be kind to everyone you meet, to always listen for God’s call and to be His hands and feet.
When founding this organization, it was easy when it came time to pick a name.
Since 2010, Oma’s Heart was dedicated to my Mom, the Oma of my children and to so many others whose lives she touched.
